Copenhagen, March 2nd, 2010 – SMS PASSCODE® - The technology leader in two-factor authentication via SMS, today announced that it latest version 3.1 release of the flagship SMS PASSCODE product has passed the extensive tests required for Works with Windows Server 2008 R2 and .NET certification.
In addition to the ISV status, SMS PASSCODE has a long time relationship integrating SMS PASSCODE two-factor authentication transparently into Microsoft technologies. This integration into all Microsoft technologies includes among others
- Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway (IAG/UAG)
- Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2003/07/10

In the latest SMS PASSCODE 3.1, new support for both Remote Desktop Services as well as Outlook Web Access 2010 was introduced. “We see significant interest especially for the newer versions of Outlook Web Access as well as Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway.” Says David Hald, co-founder and CEO, SMS PASSCODE. “Our aim is to provide the user with a very transparent login process, where SMS PASSCODE is a natural step in the login process as it increase user satisfaction and remove the need for support,” he continues.
SMS PASSCODE is a new generation of two-factor authentication that is more secure than traditional alternatives and thus protect against the modern threats on the internet. When a user accesses a system, he or she is first validated with user name and password. Once validated, SMS PASSCODE generates and sends a real-time one-time-passcode to the users cell phone via sms that is only valid for that login attempt. Once the code is entered and validated, the user is granted access.
